Stakana Wins Prizes at the Startup 302 Competition

WILMINGTON, DE. (April 28th, 2023) – Startup 302 today announced the winners of their 2023 startup funding competition. Stakana placed 2nd in the competition, taking home $13,500 in prize money, and invaluable personal and business connections with other entrepreneurs.

Stakana competed with two other startups in the FinTech Track focusing on fintech, automation, big data, health tech, SaaS and e-commerce innovations for financial services.

Startup 302 is Delaware's premier funding competition for technology and technology-enabled startups led by underrepresented founders. Entrepreneurs from across the U.S. competed for non-dilutive funding, access to mentors, and valuable connections.

Startup 302 is sponsored by the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, DuPont, JP Morgan Chase and the University of Delaware, among others. The competition is meant to showcase the strong business and entrepreneurial climate in Delaware, and showcase some up and coming startups and entrepreneurs.

Stakana’s AI powered predictive analytics for credit unions stood out among the competition. Stakana’s products use robust AI models, developed in-house, to predict future customer behavior. Stakana’s products include “RETAIN” which identifies disengaging members *before* they start thinking about leaving, and “ENGAGE” which identifies upsell opportunities (new financial products) to a credit union’s most promising indirect members.

According to Howard Keener, Stakana’s Director of Marketing/Operations, “Wilmington’s central Mid-Atlantic location and business climate is very strategic for Stakana’s future growth. The region is home to many credit unions, and provides quick, easy access to Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.”
